Project CATFOOD. Day 4. Help us, Dijkstra!


Hello!

'Limited time' is the theme of the jam we are participating in. That served as inspiration for the main mechanic of our game.

About the game
You will control a character that has to collect items that disappear over time and are scattered around. You will then have to decide which route you will take to grab as much as possible.

Reasoned game design is important in this case because the layout of the items should be challenging. The game will be somewhat based in the shortest path problem of Graph Theory (all these years in the university are finally useful, just kidding).

If our player is familiar with the Dijkstra's Algorithm, then he might get the highest score in each level. We will be designing the stages using this algorithm in the inverse.
